It's only a week until Christmas day, so for #ScentSunday this week I bring you one of the most traditional Christmas Yankee Candles... Christmas Memories.
Christmas Memories is a classic Yankee Candle fragrance that really has a hit of pretty much all the traditional scents that you associate with this festive time of year. If you're enjoying the latest Holiday Party collection by Yankee Candle, but want something a bit more traditional, then I would definitely recommend this one.
Yankee Candle describe Christmas Memories as "from the heart of the kitchen, unforgettable holiday moments are brought home again with this comforting recipe of spices and sweets". But what does it smell like? Well, the easy answer is... Christmas! The first note I pick up on is a sweet ginger mixed with cinnamon. The mix of sweet sugar and spice is gorgeous and as the description describes, it really is like walking into a kitchen at Christmas time. It's not a buttery scent like Christmas Cookie, It's spicy, sweet and oh so festive. There's apparently a vanilla note in Christmas Memories too but I can't really pick up on it.
I think the label is so cute and festive, but I must admit, when I first saw this one I was immediately drawn to the mulled wine in the image, so before I had even smelt it I thought it was actually going to be a berry scent with spices. As much as I love mulled wine, I'm so pleased this is actually a sweet spicy Christmas fragrance.
I've only ever used wax melts of this fragrance and I have always been impressed with the warm and inviting scent. I really do love my traditional Christmas fragrances, so If you're like me and want a warming Yankee Candle this Christmas time, I definitely recommend Christmas Memories.
Christmas Memories is widely available and is actually reduced to £15.39 for a large jar on the official Yankee Candle website right now (18th December 2016).

Christmas Cookie
I posted this pic on Twitter during the week, but I wasn't able to put it on here, so, while I start working on this weeks #ScentSunday, why not enjoy one of my favourite Christmas scents... Christmas Cookie

#ScentSunday - Gingerbread
With Christmas day being a mere two weeks away, I hope everyone is feeling suitably festive burning their favourite Yankee Candle fragrances. I've been burning a selection of scents in each room. So for this weeks #ScentSunday I bring you the sweet and spicy Gingerbread.
Gingerbread is a USA fragrance that is currently available at a handful of online retailers. It was a Special Appearance here in the UK last year, but is not readily available in store anymore.
I love the scent of gingerbread at Christmas time. It's a hot and spicy fragrance that makes me wish I had a fresh batch of cookies in the oven to enjoy with a nice hot chocolate.
Yankee Candle are world renowned for their true to life fragrances and Gingerbread is a perfect example of how realistic a Yankee Candle can be. The immediate scent, of course, is ginger. This is a sweet ginger with a lovely heat to it. The fragrance is softened by a sweet sugary note. If you are familiar with the recent Special Appearance, Ginger Spice Cookie (I did a post on this one that you can read HERE) then, as you can imagine, there is a similarity to the two.
Gingerbread is not as buttery as Ginger Spice Cookie but I think it has a spicier scent. It really is like enjoying a gingerbread man or the gorgeous scent you get if you've ever built a gingerbread house.
The label on this fragrance is so cute! I love the festive feel of the gingerbread house. The wax is a orange/brown colour which matches the scent perfectly. Gingerbread has been placed in the 'Festive' family but could also sit perfectly in the 'Food & Spice' family. If you are a foody fan or enjoy your spicier scents, then you will absolutely love this one.
You can get Gingerbread in two different sets on QVC, in a trio set with French Vanilla and Hazelnut Coffee (available HERE) or in a duo with Peppermint Martini (available HERE)
What do you think to Gingerbread? Let me know in the comments box below.

#ScentSunday - Peppermint Martini
I don't know about you, but I start getting in the festive mood from the 1st of December. I've already put up my Christmas tree and placed a festive Yankee Candle in every room. So, for the first #ScentSunday of the month I bring you the sweet and delicious Peppermint Martini.
This fresh Yankee Candle is an American Scent that is currently available for a limited time only from select retailers. Now, I'm not the biggest fan of mint candles, but whenever I smell peppermint I automatically think of candy canes at Christmas time. Because of this, lots of fandles will probably think this one is going to be pretty much the same as Candy Cane Lane, but Peppermint Martini not only smells like a delicious candy cane, but it also has a real softness to it with a hit of vanilla.
If you bought the Yankee Candle Festive Tipples trio from QVC, which had another Peppermint Martini in it, then I must point out that this one is totally different. This one has a real fresh sweetness to it, whereas the Peppermint Martini in the trio set was more of a fresh mint leaf scent. (You can read my review of the Festive Tipples set HERE).
This limited edition candle is going to sit proudly with my collection so I can't write about the throw, but on cold sniff, Peppermint Martini has a real power to it. I absolutely love the label, and with any red wax Yankee Candle, it looks so festive.
Peppermint Martini has been put in the 'festive' fragrance family which I totally agree with, but some 'fresh' fans might even want to burn this one any time of the year.
Peppermint Martini is available from Yankee Candle HERE and is also available to buy in a duo set from QVC which you can get HERE.
What do you think to Peppermint Martini? Let me know in the comments box below.

#ScentSunday - Bundle Up
As it is the last weekend of November, I wanted to do a post that will get us all excited about venturing out on crisp snowy days. So, before we jump stocking first into Christmas festivities lets get ready to wrap up warm this #ScentSunday with Bundle Up.
Bundle Up is such a cute Yankee Candle with an adorable label and name. But what does it smell like? Well, Yankee Candle describe it as "a clean wintry scent that brings back frosty days and cosy warm clothing. A touch of citrus adds the crispness of cold powdered snow to layers of fresh linen".
I think Bundle Up has a really powerful scent to it, with a strong hit of freshly laundered linen. If you love your laundry scents or your favourite section at the supermarket is the fabric conditioner aisle, then this is one for you. There is a very subtle citrus scent which brings a freshness, but I personally feel that the laundry scent is so strong it dominates the scent.
I love the idea of bundling up to go and enjoy a snow day and that cosy feeling you get wrapping up warm, getting all snuggly in a fluffy scarf, gloves and woolly hat.
This isn't a traditionally festive scent but if you love your linen fragrances throughout the year and you're looking for something a bit more powerful to burn alongside your festive scents (or just want something a little different this year) then this is a great alternative.
Saying that, if you are wondering if this is similar to other linen scents such as Line Dried Cotton or Fluffy Towels, I'd say that there is a similarity in that this is a fresh laundered scent, but it is much headier with a strong hit of fragrance opposed to an airy, light and fresh scent.
The dark green wax adds a touch of festivity and the snowy image is really making me hope we get a white Christmas this year. The marbling of the oils is really clear in the wax and my candle has a thick line running along the bottom of the wax. Bundle Up belongs to the 'fresh' fragrance family which I completely agree with.
You can buy Bundle Up direct from Yankee Candle HERE in all standard wax formats.
What do you think to Bundle Up? Let me know in the comments box below.

#ScentSunday - November Rain
I had planned to do a rather festive post this week, but seeing as we're coming towards the end of November and the rain seems to be making more and more appearances, I decided to do an off the cuff #ScentSunday. So, lets all embrace this wet weather by staying in and enjoying the end of the weekend with some November Rain.
November Rain is a retired fragrance here in the UK from 2013. Mummy fandle gave me this one as a gift and I fell in love with the label and name. The fragrance itself is a fresh masculine scent that Yankee Candle describe as "a quiet interlude of the season is reflected in this airy, refreshing mix of leaf notes, warm amber and crisp, brisk air".
Now, I've admitted in the past that I'm not a huge fan of masculine scents so this is a candle that I would only ever have as part of my collection. But this sits nicely alongside other "blue" Yankee Candle fragrances such as Autumn Night and Dreamy Summers Night.
November Rain is part of the Fresh family and is a fantasy fragrance. Many fandles will understand when I say a "blue" candle; but what I mean by this is that Yankee Candle often use this colour wax for their airy and fresh fragrances. Some fandles refer to them as 'bathroom candles' as the scents can often be similar to bubble bath scents or aftershaves. Another example of a "blue" candle that you might be familiar with would be Catching Rays from the TSV set from QVC back in March 2016.
If you're reading this in the USA then you're in luck as November Rain is still available stateside. For all us European fandles, eBay is likely going to be your best place if you wanted to get your hands on a November Rain.
Do you have November Rain? Let me know your thoughts in the comments box below.

Fantastic (Festive) Fragrances and where to find them
There's so many amazing festive Yankee Candle fragrances that come out each year, classics that you can easily get your hands on include: Christmas Cookie, Red Apple Wreath and Christmas Eve. For me, Christmas isn't Christmas without my home being filled with my favourite festive Yankee Candles scents; It's my favourite time of the year so I love to get a real mix of sweet and spicy fragrances to really get in the festive spirit.
If, like me, you love getting your hands on special limited editions and rare fragrances then read on because this post is all about some of the fabulously festive Yankee Candle fragrances that are currently available that you might not have seen or even heard of...
Holiday Homecoming
This USA fragrance is making a rare and short special appearance here in Europe, but only at select retailers. I got mine from CandlesDirect.com for £19.99 and I am so glad I did. My all time favourite Christmas scent is Red Apple Wreath and Holiday Homecoming is very similar but I personally think it has much more of a festive punch. It's a gorgeous blend of apples, berries and cinnamon, the perfect Christmas combination. The cinnamon is the first note to hit you with this one, but the fruity layers make Holiday Homecoming a gorgeously traditional Christmas candle. I cannot recommend this one enough. You can get yours HERE direct from candlesdirect.com and they currently have up to 25% off select classic festive Yankee Candle fragrances.
Red Berry & Cedar
This retired fragrance saw fandles rejoice when it exclusively returned to Clintons for the festive period. The fragrance itself is a rich cedar scent with hints of red berry. I personally can't pick up on the berry notes but I think this one is like getting your Christmas tree home and that aroma that fills the room.
Clintons are selling this exclusively and currently have 25% off it (this is correct as of 18/11/16). If that's not exciting enough, Red Berry & Cedar also comes in a gorgeous gift box. You can get yours direct from Clintons in store or online HERE
Feliz Navidad
This USA fragrance is currently available exclusively from QVC in a trio set of American fragrances. You can't even get this fragrance in the USA anymore so this is a real treasure. Feliz Navidad is absolutely gorgeous. I cannot recommend this one enough for any foody and cakey fans. It is a real buttery scent that Yankee Candle describe as "buttery cream mingled with raisins, wild currants, nutmeg, ginger and cardamom". If you are a fan of the fragrance Tarte Tatin then you will really love this one. The nutmeg and ginger give Feliz Navidad a spicy festive touch that is good enough to eat. You can get this trio which includes other suitably festive USA scents Irish Cream and Silver Birch from QVC HERE
Nutcracker
This Yankee Candle is worth getting just for the image on the label alone! Nutcracker is currently a Special Appearance that is available from select retailers (Special Appearances are retired or American scents that are brought back by Yankee Candle for a limited period of time). Described by Yankee Candle as "a happy holiday celebration in the scents of fresh pine garland, sweet berries and bright citrus" I think this one has a real freshness to it. I can pick up on the berry notes first, and the cirtus note really gives it a refreshing finish. You can get Nutcracker direct from Yankee Candle HERE and it also available from QVC (in a trio set with two other Special Appearances Winter Garden and Luscious Plum) HERE
Cherries On Snow
I wrote about this fragrance last week (you can read that post HERE) as it is one of my all time favourite fragrances. The fragrance is a returning fandle favourite so, as it has not been readily available throughout the year, I thought I would include it in this list as it might be a scent you are unfamiliar with.
It is a sweet cherry scent with a blend of almond. There's a gorgeous marzipan aroma to Cherries On Snow but despite it having a real sweetness to it, there is also a gorgeous fresh and icy mid note.
You can get Cherries On Snow at many retailers. I got mine from House of House, but if you fancy stocking up, QVC are selling a duo of large jars HERE.
Peppermint Martini
I am waiting on this fragrance to arrive so I cannot comment on the scent, but like Holiday Homecoming, Peppermint Martini is a USA fragrance that is being sold in select retailers for a very limited time. Yankee Candle are stocking this fragrance online HERE but you can also pick it up from QVC as a duo.
And there we have it, festive fragrances that you might have never heard of. I hope you enjoyed reading about them. Have you spotted any other rare or limited edition Yankee Candles? Let me know in the comments box below.

#ScentSunday - Cherries On Snow
#ScentSunday this week is one of my all time favourites. I'm a huge fan of sweet scents and last year saw one of the sweetest festive scents around enter into (a far too early) retirement. But! Due to huge fandle demand, it has returned. So, I present to you, the sweet, icy and oh so juicy... Cherries On Snow.
Described by Yankee Candle as "an enchanted, sparkling blend of bright juicy cherries with sweet almonds and an icy freshness" I could not agree more. As a huge almond and cherry fan myself, this is a dream combination for me. If you've ever enjoyed an almond and cherry cocktail, then you'll love this one too.
The immediate scent to hit you is a sweet maraschino cherry. If you are familiar with the notorious and rich Black Cherry by Yankee Candle, then I should point out that this is just as delicious but much sweeter. There is also a similar almond note to the two but Cherries On Snow has an icy freshness which you can pick up on after a few sniffs (Black Cherry is a deeper, more induglent cherry scent).
As i'm sat here typing this post I am burning a Wax Melt of Cherries on Snow. The throw is fantastic, I can genuinely smell it throughout my home.
I love the vivid red wax with deep marbling from the fragrance oils. The image on the label really pops with the icy white set against the cherries. Cherries On Snow is a festive favourite for lots of fandles, but I would happily burn this all year round (if it was available!)
As Cherries On Snow is a returning favourite, I wouldn't be able to say how long it will be around. I have just checked YankeeCandle.co.uk and it's not even in stock on there. If you are desperate to snap up a supply before it disappears, you can pick this one up on the high street and select online retailers. You can get a set of two large jars from QVC HERE along with other Wax Melt and Votive sets.
Do you love Cherries On Snow? Let me know your thoughts in the comments box below.

#ScentSunday - Camouflage
Before we well and truly get into the swing of Christmas, I wanted to do a #ScentSunday of a rare USA fragrance that I really love. It's one you might have never seen before, or even struggle to spot it now... Camouflage.
This retired and rare Yankee is a Collector's Edition fragrance that was part of Yankee Candles Man collection. The Man collection also included other manly scents such as Riding Mower, On Tap, Mmm, Bacon! and Man Town. They were all limited edition USA fragrances that have become quite renowned amongst fandles.
I'll admit, I know very little about this collection and Camouflage is the only fragrance that I have (although you can pick any of the fragrances up on eBay). So, what does Camouflage smell like?
Yankee Candle describe Camouflage as "a woodsy blend of fresh air, golden leaves and oak tree bark". It has a real grass like scent to it, very similar (if not almost identical) to one of my personal favourites, Wild Sea Grass.
The wax is a real deep green as you would expect. The oils in this candle are so visible throughout the wax. I won't be burning this treasure, but I would imagine it to have quite a strong throw due to the marbling in the wax (and because Wild Sea Grass had a fantastic throw).
I love Yankee Candles that have the Collector's Edition stamp, as a collector myself it is something that makes a jar extra special and unique. Fragrances that you can still get your hands on quite easily with this stamp are Bunny Cake and Jelly Bean.
Do you know any more information about this fragrance? Let me know in the comments box below.

Halloween Spooktacular - Candy Corn
Happy Halloween fandles! As a special trick or treat I wanted to conjure up a picture post on a creepy candle classic, Candy Corn...
UK fandles will probably be unfamiliar with Candy Corn, but American ghouls and ghosts will instantly recognise this traditional Halloween candy. Yankee Candle describe this frightening fragrance as "the familiar sweet scent of candy corn & is a fond reminder of Halloween fun and treats".
I think Candy Corn has such a distinct Scent and personally find it to be a real smokey fragrance. There is a sweetness too which floats through on cold sniff. In fact, you could say the overall scent is quite haunting.
As with yesterday's post on another classic Halloween Yankee Candle fragrance, Witches' Brew (you can read that post HERE) the design on this jar is from the 2015 limited edition collection. I think the designs are a real scream and the orange glass jar is utterly spooktacular.
The 2016 design of Candy Corn is readily available online & on the highstreet. This particular design is available at select retailers online.
I hope all you haunts reading this have a not-so-happy Halloween. I'm sure you will all have a chilling time. Come back soon, I'll be dying to see you again...

#ScentSunday - Witches' Brew
To celebrate the scariest time of year, #ScentSunday this week is the utterly spellbinding Witches' Brew.
Each year Yankee Candle release a limited edition collection of their Halloween fragrances Witches' Brew and Candy Corn. Fandles are treated to a spooky new design and this Halloween even saw an additional fragrance join the set, Forbidden Apple, that fandles have been dying to try.
Yankee Candle describe Witches' Brew as "The spicy sweet aroma of exotic patchouli casts a captivating spell!" It really does have a deep spicy fragrance to it that is pretty strong even without burning. I have melted a Wax Melt of this over the past few days to get in the spirit of Halloween and it has a real hit of fragrance to it. It's deep and mysterious and perfect for any witch (or wizard for that matter).
This particular jar is from Yankee Candle's 2015 range. I love how the glass is eerily dark and fades into a smokey grey, it really adds another ghoulish dimension to the limited edition labels and fragrance.
You can pick up this design jar at a few online retailers, but the 2016 set is readily available, even on the highstreet... You better be dead quick though.
Why not jump on your best broom and float on by tomorrow for some trick or treating and catch my post on another Halloween favourite fragrance, Candy Corn.

Yankee Candle shop-a-rama!
For a while I have wanted to write a post about the sites and stores that I like to shop at when I'm buying my Yankee Candles. I don't know about you, but I love a bargain, and I mean LOVE a bargain. Mummy fandle raised me well to sniff out the best deals and always get the most for my dosh. Don't get me wrong, I'm not adverse to paying full price for something that I really want, but put it this way... I shop around. So, where do I buy my Yankees? read on to find out.
House of Harris
I buy quite a lot of my Yankee Candles from House of Harris. They often do fantastic offers and recently I managed to snap up two large jars for £30 with free postage. I placed my order on Friday night and they were delivered on Monday... MONDAY! I could not believe how quickly they arrived.
House of Harris not only offer core fragrances but also Special Appearances and rare USA fragrances that are not readily available (these aren't cheap, but a great way to get your hands on ultra rare fragrances). houseofharrisgifts.co.uk
Temptation Gifts
I've shopped at Temptation Gifts a couple of times as they do great deals such as 33% off and always have 15% off the core fragrances. They even do multi-buy discounts and postage is free on orders over £49.99. temptationgifts.com
But... What if you're out and about on a shopping spree? Where can you stock up on your favourite fragrances?
Clintons
Clintons have stocked Yankee Candles for ages and a lot of their stores have been fitted with what I can only describe as an in-store mini Yankee store. They sell the core fragrances at the RRP, with their own selection of 'fragrances of the month' which differ from the official Yankee Candle fragrances.
Clintons also stock the odd exclusive line. Last year I managed to pick up a USA swirl jar, and this year they have the retired Red Berry & Cedar in an exclusive gift box. clintonsretail.com
Love Aroma
Love Aroma seemed to appear out of nowhere, and I love them! They not only have a website but they also have stores in loads of shopping centres. I bought mummy fandle her very first Scenterpiece from Love Aroma. The staff are always really friendly and know their stuff. But the best thing about Love Aroma is the loyalty card! Next time you pop in to one of their stores, definitely pick one up.
I've been in many a Love Aroma store including Lakeside, Meadowhall and even Grimsby! lovearoma.co.uk
But what if you are unsure about what fragrance you'll like?
Wax Addicts
Well, for those who like to sample different scents or fans of wax melts, then you should check out WaxAddicts.co.uk.
Not only does this site have an extensive hub of Yankee information for UK and USA releases past and present, info on QVC shows, competitions and news articles; but also a store which stocks a huge selection of crumble pots. For those who have never heard of crumble, it's broken up pieces of wax that is stored in a pot and melted in a wax melt burner. Not only do Wax Addicts have new Yankee Candle fragrances available, but also retired fragrances, rare scents and USA fragrances! Check them out! waxaddicts.co.uk
Saving my go-to Yankee destination until last, my favourite place to get my Yankee Candles is...
QVC
Anyone who reads this blog or follows me on Twitter will know that I am a HUGE fan of the shopping channel QVC. For over 12 years they have stocked Yankee Candles selling not only core fragrances, but also rare treasures, exclusive labels, Special Appearances, accessories, reed diffusers, MeltCups... the list goes on.
Price, service and selection are all fantastic when it comes to shopping with QVC but what I really love are the shows. Brand ambassadors Steven (@StevenYankeeQVC) and Rosa (@candlerosa) are incredible at describing the fragrances. They are experts and not afraid to give their honest opinion on fragrances. The shows are really fun and interactive with fandles tweeting in their questions, requests and photos which get read out throughout the shows.
Currently there's 91 different sets on QVC for fandles to get their hands on, so not only a huge selection of items, but also great prices. Granted, the delivery cost is pretty hefty compared to online retailers, but your items are well packaged in chunky cardboard boxes, delivered by a Hermes courier and you get email notifications on the day they'll be dispatched.
Anyway, delivery aside, QVC run a daily deal called Today's Special Value (TSV), and what this means is one specific item is available for 24 hours at the lowest price that you'll ever see it on QVC. This Saturday (29th October 2016) is a Yankee Candle TSV which launches at midnight and will be shown throughout the day.
QVC also do a deal called a One Time Only (OTO) which generally only lasts for one hour after the last time a TSV has been aired. Sometimes you might even see an OTO at a random time in the day. Like with the TSV, an OTO will be the lowest price you'll see an item on air.
If an item is new, it generally will be launched with an 'introductory price' so keep an eye out for this as the item will not stay at this price and will go up after a certain amount of time.
As well as these bargains, you can also get a lot of items on Easy Payments. These are interest free monthly payments in either 2, 3 or 4 instalments. (I cannot resist an easy payment!) It is such a fab way of spreading the cost without having to use your credit card. qvcuk.com
There's plenty of other retailers that stock Yankee Candles (including Yankee Candle directly online and in-store) but these are the sites and stores that I shop at myself.
One site that I would NOT recommend is Very.co.uk. They not only overcharge for their sets (a jar of Verbena and an Illumalid for £45... SERIOUSLY?!) but I have had countless orders cancelled with NO notice or email to tell me. I have even pre-ordered an item, been charged straight away, received a delay email and then 28 days later received a cancellation refund. Not only this but awful service, I once had a query so used their online chat option. I was given an answer and then told to call them directly, called them and was told something completely different... Be WARNED!

#ScentSunday - Star Anise & Orange
Over the past few weeks I have been reviewing the latest Yankee Candle collection, Holiday Party. Today is the final post on the fragrances, so to complete the set, this weeks post is Star Anise & Orange.
Star Anise & Orange sounds to me like such a classic Christmas scent conjuring up memories of fragrant festive food and hanging my Christmas stocking on Christmas eve. Out of the four fragrances in the collection, I thought this one sounded the most 'traditional' by the title. So, what does it smell like?
If you are a fan of aniseed and liquorice, then you will love this one. The star anise dominates this fragrance and on first sniff it was the only fragrance that I could pick up on. The top notes listed in the scent description are orange and mandarin, but I don't think these are the stand out scents. It took a while until I could pick up on any citrus notes but, as ever, they are a true to life citrus.
One thing that I love about Yankee Candle is the vast selection of fragrances they offer. I've said it before, and I'll say it again; not everyone is going to enjoy EVERY fragrance they create, and this is one of those cases. I was hoping for a real orange fragrance with a festive spice to it, but I just can't get past the powerful note of the star anise.
Yankee Candle have decided to use quite a sandy camel coloured wax which I think works really well with the overall fragrance. The image on the label is dominated by the orange and I think it would have been a better representation of the fragrance to include more of the star anise.
If you can't get through Christmas without a box of Liquorice Allsorts, then this could be the fragrance for you. Also, if you want to get a real mix of fragrances to burn over the festive period, then this would be a nice and unsual addition to your selection.
Is it for me? No, but I think the Holiday Party collection is fantastic as it includes sweet, fruity and spicy fragrances. You can read reviews of the other fragrances in the collection by clicking HERE for All Is Bright, HERE for Macaron Treats and HERE for Festive Cocktail,
Star Anise & Orange is available from Yankee Candle HERE in all standard wax formats,
What are your thoughts on Star Anise & Orange? Will you be burning it at your Holiday Party? Let me know in the comments box below.

#ScentSunday - Festive Cocktail
With two fragrances left to review of Yankee Candle's latest Holiday Party collection, I decided to ask Twitter what fragrance they preferred out of Festive Cocktail and Star Anise & Orange, the winner would determine which fragrance I would write about next. So, with 88% of the vote, #ScentSunday this week is... Festive Cocktail!
Festive Cocktail is a cranberry scent that has a subtle touch of pine to it. I have to admit, I'm not the biggest fan of cranberry fragrances as I often find them to be too tart, Festive Cocktail has a sweetness to it though which I was pleased about. If you read my review of the Festive Tipples set (you can read it HERE) I will point out that Cranberry Margarita from that set is much sweeter than Festive Cocktail, so if you thought that didn't have a strong enough cranberry note for your liking, then I think you'll really enjoy Festive Cocktail.
The pine note is extremely subtle but it is noticeable. It doesn't have the strong and traditionally 'Christmas' fragrance that Red Berry & Cedar has, but there is a slight similarity to the two (emphasis on the slight).
Personally, I wouldn't put Cranberry at the top of my list of go-to festive fragrances, but I know many people do, so for me this is actually the fragrance I would most likely burn at a Holiday Party. At the risk of sounding like an advert, I do think that Festive Cocktail has a lovely crispness to it which I think is quite elegant and would bring a touch of sophistication to any gathering.
The wax is a really bold red that fits perfectly with the Holiday Party theme. The oils are so visible in this candle which is a clear indication that this will have a gorgeous fragrance from start to finish. The image on the label looks so festive too which I love.
I've found the categorising for this collection to be quite interesting. Festive Cocktail is classed as 'food & spice' but I would personally have placed this in the 'fruit' fragrance family, or even the 'festive' category.
If you like your fresh fruity scents then you will love this one. If you can't go throughout winter without burning fragrances like Cranberry Twist, then why not give this one a go. It's a lighter alternative with a lovely subtle twist.
Festive Cocktail is available directly from Yankee Candle HERE in all standard wax formats, and fandles can rejoice, because Festive Cocktail is also available in a MeltCup format at select retailers too!
